SWATCOM SC21 Pro Impulse are reusable earplugs designed to reduce loud noises to safe levels. The ear tip design provides a comfortable and discreet fit, and instead of blocking noise, which leads to a muffled sound, the filter reduces noise levels, allowing you to hear both safely and clearly.
The Pro Impulse filters provide a constant 15dB (SNR) reduction, but can react to sudden loud noises (such as a gunshot) to provide a brief higher level of protection before returning to the normal constant level.

Their compact design ensures Impulse filters remain unobtrusive. Wear them comfortably for extended periods, especially under communications headsets where you need double protection. Originally developed for military users, Impulse filters successfully combat gunfire, artillery noise, and industrial impulses from nail guns, drop hammers, and riveting operations.
Notice how our unique filter technology allows airflow while preserving spatial awareness during hunts or combat. Unlike competing products, this ventilation minimises the occlusion effect. Additionally, it reduces ear canal irritation while maximising comfort. Consequently, you’ll experience fewer inflammation and infection risks.
We rigorously tested Impulse filters against extreme conditions:

Maintenance is simple – just wash regularly with water and normal detergents. Therefore, Impulse fits any environment, indoor or outdoor.
Choose custom mould options for constant 15dB SNR attenuation (estimated), suitable for continuous 100dB exposure. For impulse threats, rest assured our ANSI IPIL-certified protection reaches 33.1dB maximum.
